Green Bean Price in the United Arab Emirates (CIF) - 2022
The average green bean import price stood at $1,124 per ton in 2022, picking up by 76% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a perceptible slump. The import price peaked at $1,605 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Sri Lanka ($1,608 per ton), while the price for India ($705 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average green bean export price amounted to $1,661 per ton, falling by -29.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a measured increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 113% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,090 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($4,461 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tanzania ($210 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+63.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Green Bean Imports in the United Arab Emirates
In 2022, the amount of green beans imported into the United Arab Emirates dropped notably to 2.3K tons, which is down by -52.5% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, showed a slight expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 193%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 4.9K tons, and then declined notably in the following year.
In value terms, green bean imports fell sharply to $2.6M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a perceptible curtailment.
