The average hand saws export price stood at $18,643 per ton in September 2023, growing by 6.9% against the previous month. Over the last eleven months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 20% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $19,956 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Guatemala ($28,790 per ton), while the average price for exports to Nigeria ($9,278 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Paraguay (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average hand saws import price stood at $10,592 per ton in September 2023, growing by 19% against the previous month. Over the period from October 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 35% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $12,389 per ton. From August 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($26,370 per ton), while the price for China ($5,688 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Hand Saws Exports in Brazil
