The average hand saws import price stood at $1,764 per ton in February 2023, shrinking by -34.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a pronounced setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 12% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $2,931 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to February 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,324 per ton), while the price for Japan ($1,577 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From April 2022 to February 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average hand saws export price amounted to $2,785 per ton, with a decrease of -58.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a mild downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 133%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $11,034 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
