Handmade Paper Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average handmade paper import price amounted to $4,768 per ton, increasing by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 59% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $11,521 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($14,752 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,976 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Handmade Paper Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022
The average handmade paper export price stood at $22,585 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -3.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 149%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $23,402 per ton, and then contracted in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($31,971 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($1,500 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+5.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Handmade Paper Imports in Slovenia
After three years of growth, purchases abroad of handmade paper and paperboard decreased by -84.9% to 11 tons in 2022. In general, imports showed a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 170% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 73 tons, and then declined significantly in the following year.
In value terms, handmade paper imports reduced rapidly to $52K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 159%.
