Imitation Jewellery Price in France (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average imitation jewellery export price amounted to $419K per ton, falling by -9.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price continues to indicate a mild downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 29% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $617K per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($1.8M per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($56,954 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+15.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imitation Jewellery Price in France (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average imitation jewellery import price amounted to $158K per ton, increasing by 7.2% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 41% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $168K per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($303K per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($44,133 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imitation Jewellery Exports in France
In 2022, the amount of imitation jewelry exported from France expanded modestly to 1.9K tons, rising by 2.4% compared with 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 28%.
