Insulating Board Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
The average insulating board export price stood at $475 per cubic meter in July 2023, approximately reflecting the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 7.3% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $500 per cubic meter. From September 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($553 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($320 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Board Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average insulating board import price amounted to $278 per cubic meter, falling by -42.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a noticeable decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 100% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $725 per cubic meter in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($296 per cubic meter), while the price for Lithuania amounted to $235 per cubic meter.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+17.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Insulating Board Exports in Poland
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of insulating board, when their volume decreased by -14.8% to 617K cubic meters. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at 724K cubic meters in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, insulating board exports reached $286M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +16.3% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +57.3% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 30%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Insulating Board Imports in Poland
For the fourth year in a row, Poland recorded growth in overseas purchases of insulating board, which increased by 9.2% to 26K cubic meters in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a significant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +21.0% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +77.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
In value terms, insulating board imports soared to $12M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded prominent growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
