Insulating Board Price in Sweden (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average insulating board import price amounted to $689 per cubic meter, growing by 43% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Latvia ($1,220 per cubic meter), while the price for Estonia ($343 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Board Price in Sweden (FOB) - 2023
The average insulating board export price stood at $797 per cubic meter in July 2023, waning by -22.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate moderate growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 31% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,165 per cubic meter in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Denmark ($930 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($417 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Insulating Board Imports in Sweden
In 2022, supplies from abroad of insulating board decreased by -18.4% to 16K cubic meters for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, imports saw a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 11% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 19K cubic meters, and then declined significantly in the following year.
In value terms, insulating board imports declined to $7M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 19%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $8.1M, and then reduced in the following year.

Insulating Board Exports in Sweden
In 2022, shipments abroad of insulating board decreased by -3.3% to 6.2K cubic meters, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 6.9K cubic meters. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, insulating board exports declined dramatically to $3.7M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a pronounced contraction.
