Insulating Board Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2023
The average insulating board import price stood at $127 per cubic meter in July 2023, dropping by -13.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 49% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $575 per cubic meter in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($501 per cubic meter), while the price for Poland ($34.7 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Insulating Board Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average insulating board export price amounted to $262 per cubic meter, rising by 11% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a mild increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 55%. The export price peaked at $263 per cubic meter in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($383 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Italy ($63 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+7.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Board Imports in the Netherlands
In 2022, the amount of insulating board imported into the Netherlands declined sharply to 102K cubic meters, shrinking by -36.5% against 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 51% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 160K cubic meters, and then contracted remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, insulating board imports declined markedly to $36M in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 79% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $47M, and then shrank notably in the following year.

Insulating Board Exports in the Netherlands

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 19%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 26K cubic meters, and then shrank slightly in the following year.
In value terms, insulating board exports rose notably to $6.4M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +10.7% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
