Insulating Board Price in Vietnam (CIF) - 2021
The average insulating board import price stood at $372 per cubic meter in December 2021, almost unchanged from the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 4% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $385 per cubic meter. From October 2021 to December 2021, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2021, the country with the highest price was China ($375 per cubic meter), while the price for New Zealand ($368 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2020 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Board Price in Vietnam (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average insulating board export price amounted to $2,087 per cubic meter, growing by 116% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 437%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,494 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Australia totaled $971 per cubic meter.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+16.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Insulating Board Imports in Vietnam
In 2022, approx. 18K cubic meters of insulating board were imported into Vietnam; which is down by -11.2% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports faced a sharp curtailment. The smallest decline of -7.2% was in 2021. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 80K cubic meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, insulating board imports shrank to $8.1M in 2022. Overall, imports showed a precipitous descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 9.9%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $28M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Insulating Board Exports in Vietnam
For the third year in a row, Vietnam recorded decline in overseas shipments of insulating board, which decreased by -26.2% to 155 cubic meters in 2022. In general, exports saw a dramatic decline. The smallest decline of -20.8% was in 2021. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 337 cubic meters in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, insulating board exports surged to $323K in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed buoyant growth. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
