Kiwi Fruit Price in Ecuador (CIF) - 2022
The average kiwi fruit import price stood at $1,574 per ton in January 2022, increasing by 7.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 22% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,619 per ton in March 2021; afterwards, it flattened through to January 2022.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Italy.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Italy amounted to -0.2% per month.
Kiwi Fruit Price in Ecuador (FOB) - 2022
The average kiwi fruit export price stood at $1,657 per ton in 2022, declining by -10.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a mild descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 47%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,372 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($4,353 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($335 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
