The average lamp plastic parts import price stood at $23,584 per ton in June 2023, picking up by 30% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 46% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in June 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($42,940 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($12,655 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+6.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average lamp plastic parts export price stood at $15,341 per ton in June 2023, falling by -32.2% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated a mild expansion from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, lamp plastic parts export price increased by +5.7% against April 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 79% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $23,726 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($79,494 per ton), while the average price for exports to Denmark ($1,496 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+21.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of plastic parts for lamps and lighting fittings decreased by -30.2% to 565 tons in 2022. In general, total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the last three-year period.
