Lead Price in Venezuela (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average lead export price amounted to $1,912 per ton, with a decrease of -6.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 17%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,325 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were India ($1,913 per ton) and France ($1,898 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($1,567 per ton) and South Korea ($1,752 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Brazil (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Lead Price in Venezuela (CIF) - 2022
The average lead import price stood at $2,461 per ton in 2022, increasing by 6.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 14% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $2,720 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($2,810 per ton), while the price for China ($1,256 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Colombia (+0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
