Leek Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
The average leek export price stood at $575 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -7.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a temperate expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average export price increased by 130% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,656 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($1,331 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand totaled $561 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+153.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Leek Imports in Indonesia
Leek imports into Indonesia dropped rapidly to 7.4 tons in 2022, declining by -20.9% on 2021 figures. Overall, imports saw a dramatic curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 70% against the previous year.
