Lentil Price in Azerbaijan (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average lentil import price amounted to $711 per ton, shrinking by -2.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 32% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,234 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($740 per ton), while the price for Russia amounted to $692 per ton.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kyrgyzstan (-3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Lentil Price in Azerbaijan (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average lentil export price amounted to $1,717 per ton, declining by -7.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, posted strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 49%. The export price peaked at $1,852 per ton in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($1,767 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland totaled $1,714 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+20.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Lentil Imports in Azerbaijan
