Liquefied Butanes Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2022

The average liquefied butanes import price stood at $868 per ton in 2022, surging by 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 54%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,048 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($911 per ton) and Austria ($867 per ton), while the price for Russia ($634 per ton) and Germany ($739 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average liquefied butanes export price stood at $576 per ton in August 2023, jumping by 25% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 2,183% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $12,850 per ton. From April 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($10,033 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($479 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Liquefied Butanes Imports in the Czech Republic

In 2022, approx. 67K tons of liquefied butaneses were imported into the Czech Republic; increasing by 7.8% against the previous year. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 13%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 69K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, liquefied butanes imports soared to $58M in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a significant increase. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Liquefied Butanes Exports in the Czech Republic

Liquefied butanes exports from the Czech Republic contracted remarkably to 43K tons in 2022, with a decrease of -29.3% on the year before. In general, exports continue to indicate a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 30% against the previous year.

In value terms, liquefied butanes exports declined dramatically to $30M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw buoyant growth.
