In August 2023, the average liquefied butanes export price amounted to $431 per ton, growing by 24% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a perceptible decrease. The export price peaked at $661 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In August 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Belgium ($450 per ton) and France ($441 per ton), while the average price for exports to Senegal ($307 per ton) and Morocco ($342 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (-2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
