Liquefied Propane Price in Belgium (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $682 per ton, increasing by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a pronounced descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 72%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $927 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $784 per ton. From March 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Germany ($646 per ton) and the Netherlands ($624 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($498 per ton) and France ($529 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (-1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
