Liquefied Propane Price in France (CIF) - 2023

In August 2023, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $428 per ton, which is down by -2.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 an increase of 15% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $620 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($607 per ton), while the price for Algeria ($227 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Nigeria (0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Liquefied Propane Price in France (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average liquefied propane export price amounted to $751 per ton, surging by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 20%. The export price peaked at $944 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Malta ($907 per ton) and Ireland ($784 per ton), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($643 per ton) and Switzerland ($677 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Morocco (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
