Liquefied Propane Price in Norway (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average liquefied propane export price amounted to $488 per ton, growing by 13% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a mild decline. The export price peaked at $617 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In September 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Belgium ($514 per ton) and Finland ($512 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($443 per ton) and Germany ($474 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (-0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $384 per ton, waning by -2% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 62% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $975 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
