Loading Machinery Price in Latvia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average loading machinery import price amounted to $4,154 per unit, falling by -9.6% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, loading machinery import price increased by +35.8% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 22% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $4,596 per unit in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($12,487 per unit), while the price for Turkey ($1,320 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (+10.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Loading Machinery Price in Latvia (FOB) - 2022
The average loading machinery export price stood at $6,007 per unit in 2022, dropping by -2.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, enjoyed a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 55%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6,172 per unit, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($12,910 per unit), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($693 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+45.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Loading Machinery Imports in Latvia
For the fourth year in a row, Latvia recorded growth in overseas purchases of lifting, handling, loading or unloading machinery, which increased by 4.5% to 4.7K units in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 27%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, loading machinery imports reduced to $20M in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +23.1% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +86.4% against 2019 indices.
