The average mandarins import price stood at $1,120 per ton in August 2023, surging by 4.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 49% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,541 per ton. From January 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Uruguay ($1,147 per ton), while the price for Argentina ($1,001 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
