Mandarins Price in Iran (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average mandarins export price amounted to $438 per ton, rising by 2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 5.9%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $545 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to the United Arab Emirates ($514 per ton) and Afghanistan ($457 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkmenistan ($416 per ton) and Uzbekistan ($418 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkmenistan (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average mandarins import price stood at $539 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -17.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of less than 0.1% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,083 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($882 per ton), while the price for Turkey totaled $456 per ton.

From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
