Manganese Oxides Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average manganese oxides import price amounted to $963 per ton, growing by 5.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 19% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,523 per ton. From October 2022 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($4,640 per ton), while the price for Georgia ($750 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Manganese Oxides Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average manganese oxides export price amounted to $1,007 per ton, which is down by -8.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated mild growth from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, manganese oxides export price increased by +26.7% against June 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 38% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,460 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($1,192 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($755 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkmenistan (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Manganese Oxides Imports in the Netherlands
Manganese oxides imports into the Netherlands reduced notably to 15K tons in 2022, dropping by -18.1% compared with the year before. Overall, imports recorded a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 19%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 19K tons, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, manganese oxides imports reduced to $20M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 35% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $23M, and then dropped in the following year.
