Mango and Mangosteen Price in Vietnam (FOB) - 2022
The average mango and mangosteen export price stood at $1,738 per ton in 2022, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, mango and mangosteen export price decreased by -25.6% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average export price increased by 30% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $2,337 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Russia ($1,738 per ton) and Japan ($1,738 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($1,738 per ton) and South Korea ($1,738 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Mango and Mangosteen Price in Vietnam (CIF) - 2022
The average mango and mangosteen import price stood at $2,903 per ton in 2022, growing by 3.6% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.5%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Lao People's Democratic Republic ($2,903 per ton) and Thailand ($2,903 per ton), while the price for China ($2,903 per ton) and Cambodia ($2,903 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Mango and mangosteen exports from Vietnam declined notably to 50K tons in 2022, which is down by -58.4% against 2021. Overall, exports faced a sharp setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 24%.
