Medical Instruments Price in Norway (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average medical instruments import price amounted to $95,027 per ton, dropping by -11.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average import price increased by 13%. The import price peaked at $126,734 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($224,200 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($12,827 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average medical instruments export price stood at $291,398 per ton in 2022, growing by 6.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 17%. The export price peaked at $366,044 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($1,101,985 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($97,038 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+10.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Medical Instruments Imports in Norway
Medical instruments imports into Norway rose slightly to 2.7K tons in 2022, surging by 4.4% compared with 2021 figures.
