Memories Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023
The average memories export price stood at $1.1 per unit in July 2023, falling by -14.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 45% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2.0 per unit. From October 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($7.2 per unit), while the average price for exports to Singapore ($563 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Memories Price in the United States (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average memories import price amounted to $879 per thousand units, growing by 105% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a noticeable reduction. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2.2 per unit in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was South Korea ($9.2 per unit), while the price for Singapore ($320 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Singapore (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Memories Exports in the United States
In 2022, the amount of multichip integrated circuits: memories exported from the United States amounted to 1.6B units, remaining relatively unchanged against 2021. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period.
