The average metals; platinum, semi-manufactured import price stood at $36.3M per ton in August 2023, remaining constant against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 18% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $43,529 per kg; afterwards, it flattened through to August 2023.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($39.3M per ton), while the price for Japan amounted to $35.1M per ton.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Austria (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
