The average metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured export price stood at $257M per ton in November 2022, waning by -51.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2022 an increase of 462% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $646M per ton in February 2022; however, from March 2022 to November 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Germany.
From November 2021 to November 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Germany amounted to +0.8% per month.

In 2022, the average metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured import price amounted to $2,736,836 per ton, growing by 42% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 145%. The import price peaked at $9,020,771 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($32,175,258 per ton), while the price for the UK ($239,229 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+90.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
