The average metals; silver powder export price stood at $803K per ton in August 2023, reducing by -1.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $819K per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In August 2023, the countries with the highest prices were South Korea ($824K per ton) and Taiwan (Chinese) ($823K per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($780K per ton) and the UK ($786K per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average metals; silver powder import price amounted to $545,091 per ton, with an increase of 115% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a pronounced downturn. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $689,854 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($779,051 per ton), while the price for China ($57,073 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, shipments abroad of metals; silver powder decreased by -6.5% to 554 tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, exports continue to indicate a noticeable decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 4.6% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 623 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, metals; silver powder exports fell dramatically to $430M in 2022.
