In 2022, the average mica; powder import price amounted to $347 per ton, declining by -6.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, mica; powder import price increased by +9.0% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 70%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $388 per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($2,293 per ton), while the price for India ($238 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the average export price increased by 105% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $930 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kuwait ($2,085 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($171 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kuwait (+524.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of mica; powders decreased by -7% to 904 tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +10.3% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
