The average milled rice import price stood at $609 per ton in 2022, surging by 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight descent. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $906 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
