Milled Rice Price in Uganda (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average milled rice import price amounted to $443 per ton, growing by 11% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 31% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $496 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the United Arab Emirates.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for China amounted to +6.5% per year.

In 2022, the average milled rice export price amounted to $580 per ton, surging by 2.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 24%. The export price peaked at $604 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Milled Rice Imports in Uganda
