In July 2023, the average mixed fertilizer import price amounted to $1,146 per ton, jumping by 64% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 an increase of 81% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,410 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($4,749 per ton), while the price for Norway ($666 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+12.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average mixed fertilizer export price stood at $860 per ton in 2022, picking up by 42% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a measured increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 80% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
