Motorcycle Tire Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average motorcycle tire import price amounted to $11 per unit, growing by 8.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a slight decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $13 per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($53 per unit), while the price for China ($7.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+17.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average motorcycle tire export price amounted to $10.6 per unit, with a decrease of -49.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a slight contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 72% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $25.1 per unit in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Italy ($35.4 per unit), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($8.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+14.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Motorcycle Tire Imports in Turkey
In 2022, overseas purchases of new pneumatic tyres for motorcycles decreased by -6% to 1.2M units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
