Mustard Seed Price in Ukraine (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average mustard seed export price amounted to $1,005 per ton, waning by -33.3% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 38% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,474 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,608 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($545 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Mustard Seed Price in Ukraine (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average mustard seed import price amounted to $983 per ton, picking up by 57% against the previous year. Overall, the import price posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 120%. The import price peaked at $1,098 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($2,196 per ton), while the price for Germany ($841 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
