Natural Polymers Price in New Zealand (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average natural polymers import price amounted to $8,196 per ton, declining by -3.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a temperate increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 203% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $14,321 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Croatia ($48,127 per ton), while the price for Australia ($2,091 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Norway (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average natural polymers export price stood at $5,420 per ton in 2022, jumping by 67% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed mild growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 402%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $20,028 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
