Nitrites; Nitrates Price in Kazakhstan (CIF) - 2022
The average nitrites; nitrates import price stood at $949 per ton in 2022, growing by 76% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,040 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($1,589 per ton), while the price for Poland ($703 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kyrgyzstan (+21.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average nitrites; nitrates export price amounted to $1,387 per ton, which is down by -7.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, enjoyed a noticeable expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average export price increased by 90%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,571 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($1,737 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia stood at $303 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+13.4%).
