Non-Electrical Lamp Price in Belgium (CIF) - 2023
In August 2023, the average non-electrical lamp import price amounted to $3.2 per unit, falling by -19.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a tangible expansion from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.2% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, non-electrical lamp import price decreased by -23.6% against June 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 an increase of 59% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $4.2 per unit in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($6.2 per unit), while the price for Indonesia ($2.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+13.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Non-Electrical Lamp Price in Belgium (FOB) - 2023
The average non-electrical lamp export price stood at $4.7 per unit in August 2023, dropping by -4.6% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 36% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $5.7 per unit. From May 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Spain ($14.3 per unit), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($2.0 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+9.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Non-Electrical Lamp Imports in Belgium
In 2022, approx. 5.5M units of non-electrical lamps and lighting fittings were imported into Belgium; which is down by -14.3% compared with the previous year. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. Imports peaked at 6.7M units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
