Non-Liquid Margarine Price in Pakistan (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average non-liquid margarine import price amounted to $1,563 per ton, picking up by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average import price increased by 41% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,852 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Turkey ($1,830 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($1,764 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($1,470 per ton) and Malaysia ($1,493 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average non-liquid margarine export price stood at $1,537 per ton in 2022, surging by 37% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw slight growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 68% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Afghanistan.

Non-Liquid Margarine Imports in Pakistan
