The average non-propelled vehicle export price stood at $79 per unit in 2022, surging by 27% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 88% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $79 per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Namibia ($79 per unit) and Botswana ($79 per unit), while the average price for exports to Zambia ($79 per unit) and Mozambique ($79 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Namibia (+23.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average non-propelled vehicle import price stood at $69 per unit in 2022, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 13%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $70 per unit, leveling off in the following year.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were India ($69 per unit) and the United States ($69 per unit), while the price for Italy ($69 per unit) and the UK ($69 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
