Nonwoven Fabric Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average nonwoven fabric import price amounted to $4,568 per ton, picking up by 5.9% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated a temperate increase from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, nonwoven fabric import price decreased by -9.5% against June 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 141% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,047 per ton. From July 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,955 per ton), while the price for Romania ($1,975 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nonwoven Fabric Price in Lithuania (FOB) - 2022
The average nonwoven fabric export price stood at $4,744 per ton in 2022, picking up by 3.1% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a mild decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 27%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $5,711 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($6,990 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($1,888 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Estonia (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nonwoven Fabric Imports in Lithuania
Nonwoven fabric imports into Lithuania stood at 11K tons in 2022, with an increase of 2.7% against the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +13.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years.
