The average onion import price stood at $204 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -24.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 78%. The import price peaked at $485 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
