The average onion import price stood at $263 per ton in February 2024, with a decrease of -2.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 24% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $353 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to February 2024, import prices remained at a lower figure.
