The average onion export price stood at $1,067 per ton in March 2024, falling by -6.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2024 when the average export price increased by 31% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $1,180 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to March 2024, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In March 2024, the country with the highest price was the UK ($1,105 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($461 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
