Orange Price in Finland (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average orange import price amounted to $944 per ton, falling by -11.6% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.3%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,068 per ton in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($1,311 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($694 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Israel (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Orange Price in Finland (FOB) - 2022
The average orange export price stood at $1,245 per ton in 2022, waning by -32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, orange export price increased by +31.7% against 2017 indices. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Estonia (+2.8%).
Orange Imports in Finland
In 2022, supplies from abroad of oranges decreased by -10.5% to 28K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports continue to indicate a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 17% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 37K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
