Pears and Quinces Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022
In March 2022, the average pears and quinces import price amounted to $1,193 per ton, rising by 13% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a pronounced expansion from March 2021 to March 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.7% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on March 2022 figures, pears and quinces import price increased by +79.7% against January 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2022 an increase of 59% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in March 2022.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($1,619 per ton), while the price for Russia ($1,100 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+30.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average pears and quinces export price stood at $470 per ton in 2022, growing by 9% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 64%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $605 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
