Pears and Quinces Price in Croatia (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average pears and quinces import price amounted to $1,811 per ton, with a decrease of -14.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a perceptible increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 27% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,108 per ton, and then dropped in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($2,336 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($1,336 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pears and Quinces Price in Croatia (FOB) - 2023
The average pears and quinces export price stood at $2,161 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -5.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 47% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,282 per ton, and then dropped in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($2,597 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($1,076 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (+14.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pears and Quinces Imports in Croatia
In 2022, approx. 9.3K tons of pears and quinces were imported into Croatia; increasing by 3.1% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +10.5% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +50.0% against 2020 indices. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +35.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $10M, and then fell modestly in the following year.
