In April 2021, the average phenols; phenol-alcohols import price amounted to $1,611 per ton, surging by 20% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The import price peaked at $1,907 per ton in January 2021; however, from February 2021 to April 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
From January 2021 to April 2021, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Russia amounted to +12.2% per month.

The average phenols; phenol-alcohols export price stood at $1,671 per ton in 2022, dropping by -12.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average export price increased by 72%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $14,037 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($27,883 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($1,055 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+13.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, shipments abroad of phenols; phenol-alcoholses decreased by -28.8% to 147 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, recorded significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 139% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 207 tons, and then declined significantly in the following year.
In value terms, phenols; phenol-alcohols exports shrank markedly to $246K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 300%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $393K, and then fell sharply in the following year.
