Plum and Sloe Price in Kuwait (CIF) - 2021
The average plum and sloe import price stood at $4,400 per ton in December 2021, picking up by 89% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded noticeable growth. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Australia ($8,944 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,556 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+5.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Plum and Sloe Price in Kuwait (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average plum and sloe export price amounted to $687 per ton, falling by -15.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded prominent growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 98%. The export price peaked at $814 per ton in 2021, and then plummeted in the following year.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($735 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bahrain ($562 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (+6.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Plum and Sloe Imports in Kuwait
