Polyurethanes Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average polyurethanes import price stood at $3,928 per ton in July 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 8.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $4,229 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($5,348 per ton), while the price for China ($2,833 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Polyurethanes Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
The average polyurethanes export price stood at $3,346 per ton in July 2023, growing by 1.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 7.9% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3,622 per ton. From September 2022 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Russia ($4,018 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($2,194 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
Polyurethanes Imports in Turkey
In 2022, polyurethanes imports into Turkey rose remarkably to 48K tons, with an increase of 14% against 2021 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, polyurethanes imports surged to $194M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.1% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +55.5% against 2020 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Polyurethanes Exports in Turkey
